FOOD. EDUCATION. AGRICULTURE. SOLUTIONS. TOGETHER. — F.E.A.S.T. is coming to Forest Grove again!
On Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Forest Grove Senior and Community Center,
co-sponsored by the Oregon Food Bank, Diary Creek Community Food Web and the Forest Grove Senior & Community Center.
This community-wide event is free and includes snacks.
Come share your ideas, concerns and solutions about our local food systems.
Three years ago, in February 2011, almost one hundred people attended our first FEAST. Since then, the Dairy Creek Community Food Web has been working to bring together all the groups, agencies and individuals who are reporting their efforts regarding:
- FEEDING HUNGRY PEOPLE,
- SUPPORTING NEW FARMERS,
- ESTABLISHING YEAR-ROUND FARM MARKETS AND COMMUNITY KITCHENS,
- DEVELOPING SCHOOL GARDENS, NUTRITION EDUCATION & FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAMS, AND
- CREATING APPROPRIATE LAND USE POLICIES FOR FEEDING ALL OF US.
