This spring, three organizations are collaborating to bring FREE gardening workshops to Western Washington County. The Oregon Food Bank, Dairy Creek Community Food Web, and Adelante Mujeres are sponsoring three different workshops at the Forest Grove Senior and Community Center (located at 2037 Douglas Street in Forest Grove).

Gardening in the Pacific Northwest for Beginners – A 5-week Workshop:
Mondays, 6:30-8:00pm on 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, and 4/23. Participants will learn about planning, planting, creating healthy soils, garden maintenance, and organic pest management. (please register by March 24th)
Vegetable Gardening for Beginners:
Saturday, April 7, 1:30-3:30pm in the FG Senior & Community Center. Learn to start a garden from scratch, including planning, planting, thinning, and weeding. (please register by March 30th)
Container Gardening for Beginners:
Saturday, April 28, 1:30-3:30pm in the FG Senior & Community Center. If you’d like to grow some of your own produce, but are short on growing space, this is the workshop for you. All participants will take home a free container and seeds! (please register by April 20th)
