The Dairy Creek Community Food Web, named for the Dairy Creek watershed, is a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to make connections within the local food system.

The DCCFW’s mission is to promote the local food community in Western Washington County by exchanging knowledge and resources to grow, process, share and celebrate food. 

We do this in the following five ways:
  • Strengthening local food systems by supporting pantries, agencies, and organizations.
  • Bringing schools, farms and gardens together to get the best of our harvests to our local kids.
  • Fostering the development of shared facilities like kitchens and public markets to enable a broader diversity of local food products to emerge.
  • Advocating for land use policies that promote growth and stability for local food systems.
  • Providing new and aspiring farmers with information and support as they develop their businesses.
To do this, the DCCFW provides educational programming, facilitates food harvest and cooking and food preservation workshops provided by OSU, and hosts community celebrations to promote local vendors. Partnerships with local governments, businesses, landowners, growers, gardeners, farmers, educators, and social service providers are essential in the creation of a more just, inclusive, extensive food network. Current community collaborations include the Forest Grove Grange, Adelante Mujeres, City of Forest Grove, FG/Cornelius Chamber of Commerce, Oregon Food Bank, Forest Grove Library, Meals On Wheels People, FG/Banks, faith community members, B St Permaculture Farm, Pacific University and the Forest Grove Senior & Community Center.

We envision a thriving food community in which all residents have the opportunity to grow, prepare and consume local food in order to support the health of the land and its people.
