Saturday, May 13, at FG Senior&Community Center, 2037 Douglas St, from 10 am to 3 pm, our Second Annual “A GATHERING OF GARDENERS” will open its doors for another exciting opportunity to learn from many highly experienced gardeners. Among many activities, Master Gardeners will be available doing garden CLINICS. There will be an ongoing loop of garden-related videos, plus cooking demos, tool-sharpening, take-away garden goodies, resource magazine and books, free seeds, display of Lexicon of Sustainability posters, and more. “Table Topics” will include: Soil; Pollinators; Seeds; Seed Swaps and new Seed Library; Growing Veggies WITH Flowers; Children’s Garden Crafts; Dryland Farming Research Project; Composting; low-water home gardening; Harvest Swap Event; Forest Grove Gleaning Project; tour of SideYard Gardens at the Center, and more.
